Lake Garda

Wedding in Desenzano del Garda, as a trio

There are weddings that do not need large numbers to be great. Valentina and Leonardo knew this well: few guests, no rehearsed poses, just the right people and a lake providing a backdrop as only Lake Garda knows how.

And then there was Rosa. Not yet born, but already present, in Valentina's tummy, in the way Leonardo looked at her, in every moment of that day. Getting married while expecting a daughter changes everything: the ceremony is not just the union of two people, but the first act of a family.

The ceremony

The civil ceremony was held at the Town Hall of Desenzano del Garda, with that institutional simplicity which, when experienced with intensity, becomes something precious. No frills, no excesses: just the words that matter, spoken in front of the people who matter.

Right afterwards, we moved to the Desenzano lakeside for the couple's photos. Valentina and Leonardo aren't used to being in front of a camera, and it showed, in the best possible sense. No posing, no play-acting. Just the two of them, the lake, the Garda light and Rosa waiting quietly. Every shot happened naturally, as it should.

The Reception

The reception was held at Selva Capuzza, among the Lugana vineyards, a few kilometres from the lake. A place that smells of earth and wine, of roots and restrained celebration. The perfect choice for an intimate wedding like this: a place that does not try to impress, but to welcome.

Few tables, lots of laughs, the feeling that every person present was really there because they had to be.

Photographing Valentina and Leonardo was one of those jobs where my task was simple: to disappear and observe. When the bride and groom are as authentic as they are, the photographs happen by themselves. And when, amidst all this, there is also little Rosa waiting to be born, every image carries something more with it: the promise of a story that has only just begun.

If you too are looking for a wedding photographer on Lake Garda who knows how to tell your story just as it is, get in touch here: I'd love to be there.

A Lakeside Wedding in Garda

Some couples choose Italy for its beauty, but also to truly live it. That's the story of Lena and Max, a young German couple who decided to celebrate their wedding in Garda, on a hillside, with views over the lake, surrounded by nature. They left Germany to experience a day that would be intimate, authentic, and entirely their own. And that's exactly how it was, in every way.

The chosen location was a private villa with a pool, surrounded by trees and breathtaking views. Every corner radiated love and care: many of the decorative details were thought out, built, and arranged by Lena and Max themselves, with help from friends. This gave the day a deeply personal touch, far removed from anything standard or pre-packaged. Their wedding in Garda was a true celebration of spontaneous, hands-on beauty.

The ceremony

The ceremony was held in the shade of a large tree, in a simple yet emotionally charged space. From the very first moments, Max's emotion was palpable: he struggled to lift his eyes toward the guests, overwhelmed with feeling. His hands trembled slightly, his eyes searching for Lena's to find strength. A moment of deep, genuine authenticity.

Then came an unexpected gesture that moved everyone: Lena picked up the microphone and dedicated a song to Max. Her voice trembled, but every word was full of love. With tears in his eyes, Max stood up and went to her, pulling her into a long embrace.
No words could have better described what they were feeling in that moment.

The Reception

The reception took place under a large marquee, amid genuine food, smiles, and relaxed conversation. It was a warm Friday in June, but the breeze among the trees and the presence of the right people made everything feel light.

Just before the party began, we found the perfect moment for the couple's portraits. Barefoot, Lena and Max walked through the tall grass, surrounded by wild plants and untamed nature. No posing, just freedom. The sunset light, the connection with the earth, their natural ease together: it was simply magical.

Then, as the sun went down, a live band arrived. Music took the place of words, and that's when the real celebration began: young and old alike, even the eldest guests, let themselves be carried away by the music, turning the hillside into a dance floor under the stars.

Photographing this wedding in Garda felt like stepping into a story written by hand and by heart. Every detail spoke of them, and every photograph tells a story of emotion, authenticity, and love.

Wedding in Padenghe sul Garda

When you think of a dream wedding in Italy, Lake Garda is one of the first places that comes to mind. Bettina and Mario, a beautiful Swiss couple, chose this stunning corner of Italy to celebrate their love. The venue, overlooking the lake, was truly enchanting: manicured gardens, an open view of the water, and that peaceful atmosphere that only certain places can offer. It was the perfect setting for a wedding in Padenghe sul Garda.

The ceremony

The arrival of the bride and groom was one of the most emotional moments of the day: not by car, not on foot, but by boat. Watching them approach across the water, with the sun sparkling on the surface and their guests waiting with emotion on the shore, was truly unforgettable. An elegant, scenic entrance — yet perfectly natural for their style.

The civil ceremony took place outdoors, with a refined and minimalist setup. In the front row, their daughter watched everything with eyes full of emotion, her sweetness moving everyone present. A simple yet powerful detail that made the moment even more special.

The Reception

After the ceremony, the reception unfolded with beautiful ease. Between toasts, carefully prepared dishes, and conversations in multiple languages, the atmosphere was relaxed and joyful. The most vibrant moment was definitely the evening party: the bride and groom, along with their guests, let loose completely — dancing with energy and happiness, carried away by a playlist where Italian songs took center stage.

It was my first time photographing a wedding in Padenghe sul Garda, and being there on that day was a true pleasure for me. Every shot told a story: their emotional arrival by boat, the looks exchanged during the ceremony, the bond with their daughter, the laughter during dinner, and the pure energy of the dancing.

It was one of those days where everything flows naturally. A wedding full of light, joy, and spontaneity — one that will stay in the hearts of those who were there, and in every image that captured it.
